Expert design, your own self-build campervan wiring diagram, your Victron kit and commissioning, all in one package. Book a free 30-minute call to get started.
Buy your Victron kit from us and we audit, design and diagram your system, then commission it once you have built it. One point of contact, one price.

Self-Build PackageStart with a free call and we plan it with you. Or sketch your system in our free online designer first, then bring the plan to us.
Tell us about your build and how you use power. We size the system with you, quote the kit and draw your own wiring diagram.
Book a free Self-Build callAnswer a few questions about your campervan or cabin. The system designer sizes your battery, charging and solar, then lists the Victron parts with every cable, fuse and lug to match. It is a design aid, so check it with us on a free call any time.

We talk through your build, what you want to run and how you travel, and size the system with you.
FreeA clear quote for the Victron kit your system needs, matched to the audit.
FreeA diagram matched to your kit, part for part, so every cable and fuse is clear.
IncludedStep-by-step guidance from our electricians while you build it yourself.
IncludedOnce it is built, we connect remotely, check your settings and commission the system, with 12 months VRM support.
IncludedYour adventure begins, with ongoing help from our WhatsApp community and Tom and Charlie in the chat.
IncludedEvery system we design is set up on Victron's VRM portal, so you can see your batteries, solar and loads from your phone. This is a real system's dashboard, shared read-only from VRM, so you can see exactly what you'd get.
Your own wiring diagram is drawn for your kit and shared when you order.

Every part in your kit, drawn where it sits in the system, with the cable size and fuse rating marked on each run. You'll see the leisure battery, the distribution and isolator, the MPPT solar charger, the DC-DC charger from the alternator, the inverter charger if you're having 230V, and each 12V circuit out to your lights, fridge and pump.
We draw it from your kit list, so it isn't a generic campervan wiring diagram where you have to work out which bits apply to you.
That's who we built it for. The audit takes the guesswork out before you buy anything, the build guide follows the order you'll actually do the work in, and when you get stuck there's the WhatsApp group, with Tom and Charlie in it. If you'd rather leave the 230V side to someone else, say so on the call and we'll talk it through.
Usually less than the forums would have you think. Most of our self-build kits come down to a lithium (LiFePO4) leisure battery, a DC-DC charger so the alternator tops it up while you drive, an MPPT controller for roof solar, a battery monitor, and fused 12V distribution. A Victron MultiPlus adds 230V sockets and charging from electric hook-up.
You don't have to have hook-up. Plenty of vans manage on solar and driving alone, though it helps in winter. The power audit works out what you need and how big each part should be, from what you'll run and how you travel.
It depends on the current each circuit carries and how far it runs. At 12V you lose voltage quickly over distance, so a fridge at the back of a long van can need thicker cable than its current alone suggests. Your diagram gives the size for every run.
Roughly in this order. Decide where the battery and main kit will live, then run your first-fix cables before the insulation and wall panels go in. Mount the components with room around them for air and for your hands. Make every connection with the battery isolated, and connect the battery last. The build guide goes through each stage for the kit you've bought, and once it's in, we commission it remotely.
Almost always. Many newer vans, especially Euro 6 models, have smart alternators that drop their output once the starter battery is full, which older split-charge relays struggle with. We use a Victron Orion DC-DC charger and set it up for your vehicle, so the leisure battery still charges on the move. Bring the make, model and year to the call. Our DC to DC charger guide explains more.
The 230V side of a campervan falls under BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations, with Section 721 covering caravans and motor caravans. Amendment 4 is the current version (what changed). The 12V side has its own standard, BS EN 1648-2. Our designs follow both where they apply.
Because you do the wiring, any paperwork has to come from testing the finished build. That's what the inspection add-on is for. We test it at our Cumbria workshop and you get an EICR or equivalent report, which is worth keeping for insurance and for when you sell.
It runs through the Victron GX device in your system, usually a Cerbo GX, connected to the internet over Wi-Fi or 4G. We book a video call, connect through VRM and go through the settings with you: charge voltages for your battery, solar and DC-DC set-up, firmware and alerts. If something physical looks wrong, we'll tell you what and why. Your 12 months of VRM support start from that call, and after that you can carry on with our remote monitoring service.
Everything goes tracked. In-stock items are usually dispatched in 1 to 2 working days. A Fogstar battery that's on pre-order is dispatched when Fogstar's next stock arrives, so its ETA is to be confirmed. Parcels go by courier. Heavy or bulky items, like larger lithium batteries and solar panels, come on a tracked pallet, usually to the kerbside, so someone needs to be in. A bigger kit may arrive in more than one delivery. We email you as each one leaves, with tracking and a list of what's in it, so you can check it off against your diagram.
Yes, by quote. We can supply the kit, wiring diagram and build guide, and you still get support, the WhatsApp community and remote commissioning. We don't do installations outside the UK. Duties and import taxes are yours to pay, and the build needs to meet your local rules. Message us before you order, as the web shop only delivers in the UK.
