The Victron Skylla-TG 48/25 charger is a high-performance solution for 48V battery systems requiring 25A of charging current. Equipped with a microprocessor, it ensures precise charging control through a three-step process (IUoUo), charging batteries more quickly and efficiently compared to other charging methods.
It is suitable for sealed or unsealed batteries, providing the ability to adjust charge voltage to fit the specific needs of the battery system. Sealed maintenance-free batteries require careful charging to prevent overvoltage, which could cause excessive gassing or drying out. The Skylla-TG charger addresses this concern, ensuring proper charging and extending battery life.
The charger is designed with temperature compensation, which automatically adjusts the charge voltage based on the battery's temperature. This feature helps prevent overcharging and battery damage due to temperature fluctuations, especially in sealed batteries. Additionally, voltage sensing compensates for any voltage loss due to cable resistance, ensuring that the correct voltage is always delivered to the battery.
The Skylla-TG 48/25 can also be used as a power supply in scenarios where batteries or buffer capacitors are unavailable, thanks to its stabilised output voltage.

Perfect chargers for any type of battery
Charge voltage can be precisely adjusted to suit any sealed or unsealed battery system. In particular, sealed maintenance free batteries must be charged correctly in order to ensure a long service life. Overvoltage will result in excessive gassing and venting of a sealed battery. The battery will dry out and fail.
Controlled charging
Every TG Charger has a microprocessor, which accurately controls the charging in three steps. The charging process takes place in accordance with the IUoUo characteristic and charges more rapidly than other processes.
Use of TG Chargers as a power supply
As a result of the perfectly stabilised output voltage, a TG Charger can be used as a power supply if batteries or large buffer capacitors are not available.
To increase battery life: temperature compensation
Every Skylla-TG 48/25 Charger comes with a battery temperature sensor. When connected, charge voltage will automatically decrease with increasing battery temperature. This feature is especially recommended for sealed batteries which otherwise might be overcharged and dry out due to venting.
Battery voltage sense
In order to compensate for voltage loss due to cable resistance, TG Chargers are provided with a voltage sense facility so that the battery always receives the correct charge voltage.
