Description
The Victron MultiPlus 48/5000/70-100 integrates an inverter and charger into a single unit that efficiently manages power in a wide range of energy systems. With true sine wave output, the MultiPlus provides clean and stable power for sensitive electronics. The adaptive charging feature optimizes battery charging, increasing battery longevity and performance.
In the event of a grid failure or when shore or generator power is lost, the MultiPlus switches to its UPS function, taking over the power supply in less than 20 milliseconds. This rapid switchover ensures that equipment continues to run seamlessly, making it perfect for critical applications where power interruptions are unacceptable.
The PowerAssist feature helps avoid overloading limited power sources such as generators or shore connections. If the system is at risk of overloading, the MultiPlus will first reduce battery charging to prevent the overload. It can then boost the power output of the generator or shore power by supplementing it with power from the battery, ensuring stable operation during peak demand.
For large or growing systems, up to sixMultiPlus units can be connected in parallel to achieve higher output power. The system can also be configured for three-phase or split-phase operation, providing a highly flexible solution to meet various power requirements.
With the remote monitoring and control functionality, users can manage their system locally via LAN or remotely via the internet. By pairing the MultiPlus with a GX device (such as the Cerbo GX), users can access full control over the system via the VRM app or VRM portal, available for smartphones, tablets, laptops, and PCs.

Unique PowerAssist feature
The MultiPlus will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation
Up to 6 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible. Please check our datasheets to see which models have paralleling, three phase and split phase capabilities.
Remote Monitoring and Control
When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your Multi and system or systems’ locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website.
