Description
The Victron MultiPlus 12/2000/80-50 integrates the functionality of an inverter and charger into one versatile system. This 120V model provides true sine wave inverter performance, allowing for smooth and reliable AC power output, and offers adaptive charging with hybrid PowerAssist technology for efficient energy management.
A key feature is the PowerAssist technology, which prevents overloading of limited AC sources like generators or shore power. When the system detects an impending overload, it reduces battery charging or boosts the power output using battery energy, ensuring that the external power source is not overloaded.
In case of a grid failure or disconnection from shore or generator power, the MultiPlus switches to inverter mode within 20 milliseconds, providing uninterrupted AC power. This ensures that sensitive devices such as computers and electronics continue to operate without disruption.
The MultiPlus also supports parallel operation with up to 6 units for scaling power output, and can be configured for three-phase or split-phase operation, depending on the needs of the installation.
For ultimate convenience, remote monitoring and control can be achieved when the MultiPlus is paired with a GX device (e.g., Cerbo GX). Through the VRM app and VRM portal, users can monitor and manage their system locally via LAN or remotely via the internet, allowing for flexibility and easy control from any location.

Unique PowerAssist feature
The MultiPlus will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation
Up to 6 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible. Please check our datasheets to see which models have paralleling, three phase and split phase capabilities.
Remote Monitoring and Control
When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your Multi and system or systems' locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website.
