Overview

About this product

A 2-pole DC circuit breaker for the solar cable between your panels and the MPPT solar charge controller. It isolates the panels so you can work on the controller safely, and it trips on overload or a fault, which a plain isolator switch can't do.

Specifications

  • Type: DC miniature circuit breaker, 2-pole
  • Rated current: 32 A
  • Rated voltage: 12 to 240 V DC
  • Breaking capacity (Icu): 4 kA
  • Standard: IEC 60898-2
  • Enclosure: waterproof, with ON/OFF markings

Choosing it

Fit it on the panel side of the MPPT. The array's short-circuit current times 1.25 must be 32 A or less, and the array's cold open-circuit voltage must be 240 V DC or less. Our system designer checks both for you. Above either figure, book a free call and we'll spec the right breaker.

Wire it the right way round: DC breakers are polarity marked. Follow the + and - markings on the breaker.
