The Scanstrut Waterproof Electrical Junction Box SB-8-5 is the perfect solution for creating waterproof electrical connections in marine environments. This heavy-duty junction box is constructed from marine-grade polypropylene, ensuring long-lasting durability even in harsh conditions. It features five screw-down terminals, offering five separate electrical terminations for all your wiring needs.
Ideal for installations in lockers, lazarettes, and tender bays, this junction box allows for easy cable fitting using a spring-loaded retention system, which holds the cables securely without causing damage. The modular terminal blocks can be fitted individually or connected together depending on the number of terminations needed. Unlike other designs where terminal blocks may float, this box ensures secure connections.
To achieve IP67 waterproof rating, the junction box requires additional SB-2G cable seals (sold separately). The box comes with self-tapping screws for installation and includes an installation bracket for quick and easy fitting as well as removal for inspection.
