Description
The Scanstrut DS16-SL Vertical Entry Cable Seal is a premium cable routing solution engineered for marine, vehicle and Starlink installations where a fully waterproof cable entry point is required. Designed with Scanstrut’s signature low-profile dome shape, the seal offers enhanced strength, improved impact resistance and additional protection from water ingress.
The IP68 waterproof rating ensures maximum protection against water and dust, making it ideal for boats, campervans, motorhomes, roof installations and external equipment mounting. The seal is particularly suited for Starlink Gen 3 and Starlink Mini systems, allowing the antenna cable to be routed cleanly through roofs or panels while maintaining a watertight seal.
Installation is designed to be simple and reliable. The split bung system allows cables to be installed without removing connectors, eliminating the need to cut or reterminate cables. The unit includes three interchangeable bungs, enabling installers to accommodate different cable sizes or create a customised entry point.
The DS16-SL is constructed from high-impact UV-stable marine-grade plastic, ensuring long-term durability in outdoor and marine environments. It is supplied with 316 stainless steel fixings and a waterproof 3M gasket, providing additional sealing protection without requiring messy sealants on the bungs.
Captive nuts integrated into the base allow for quick assembly and make repeat installations straightforward and reliable. With its compact 39 mm footprint and low-profile 19 mm height, the DS16-SL offers a neat, professional finish while protecting your cable entry from the elements.
