Description
The Victron Energy Quattro 12/5000/220-100/100 120V VE.Bus is a versatile and intelligent inverter/charger, capable of automatically managing power between multiple sources. It delivers 5000VA of pure sine wave power and features adaptive charging for optimal battery maintenance and efficiency.
Like the Victron MultiPlus, the Quattro functions as both inverter and charger, but with the added capability of accepting two independent AC inputs – for example, shore power and a generator – and automatically connecting to the active source. Its main output offers seamless, no-break functionality: in the event of power loss, the Quattro instantly switches to inverter mode (in less than 20ms), keeping sensitive equipment running without interruption.
A second AC output supplies power only when an external AC source is available—perfect for non-critical loads such as air conditioning or water heating that should not discharge the battery.
The unique PowerAssist feature prevents generator or shore power overloads by dynamically balancing demand: it first reduces battery charging, then supplements limited AC power with battery energy when required.
The Quattro also supports parallel operation (up to six units) for virtually unlimited power output, as well as three-phase and split-phase configurations. When paired with a Victron GX device (like the Cerbo GX), it offers remote monitoring and control via the Victron VRM portal or app, accessible from anywhere.
