Tiny Build Electrics is based in Cumbria, in the North West of England, just 15 minutes from the M6. Our workshop location allows us to serve projects across the UK, while remaining well positioned for rural, remote, and off-grid installations.
Many of our clients travel to us from across England, Scotland, and Wales for specialist electrical work. We also support projects worldwide, through online consultations, system design, wiring diagrams, and remote monitoring services.
Tom founded Tiny Build Electrics to address a growing gap in the off-grid and van conversion industry: professionally designed and safety-focused electrical systems.
With a background in electrical systems and a strong emphasis on planning and compliance, Tom specialises in off-grid system design, consultation, and commissioning. His work focuses on ensuring systems are correctly sized, safely configured, and suitable for long-term use, not just “working on paper”.
Tom is closely involved in system design consultations, complex installations, inspections, and technical decision making, across the business.
Charlie brings extensive hands-on experience in installation, testing, and fault-finding across industrial and off-grid electrical systems.
As a qualified, gold card carrying electrician, Charlie focuses on correct installation practices, system testing, and compliance. His role ensures that every system installed or inspected by Tiny Build Electrics meets appropriate safety standards, including relevant elements of BS7671 where applicable.
Charlie is also responsible for electrical inspection, testing, certification, and supporting clients with system upgrades and remedial work.
Together, Tom and Charlie bring over 20 years of combined experience working with electrical systems across mobile, marine and off-grid environments.
This experience underpins everything we do; from early stage advice through to final testing and long-term support. Allowing us to deliver systems that are not only functional, but safe, reliable, and well documented.
