Description
The Victron Filax 2 (SDFI0000110) is engineered to provide a smooth transition between priority AC sources (such as mains power, generators, or shore power) and alternate sources (such as inverters). It is particularly designed to protect sensitive loads, like computers and entertainment equipment, ensuring that they continue to function without disruption even when switching sources.
The Filax 2 operates with an open transition (break-before-make) transfer switch, with a maximum load transfer time of 16 milliseconds. This fast transfer ensures that sensitive devices, which are often affected by power fluctuations, continue to run smoothly.
Main Features:
- Priority Source: The mains, generator, or shore power supplies power by default, and is switched to the alternate source (typically an inverter) when needed.
- Reverse Transfer: If the priority source returns to within the voltage and frequency limits for 30 seconds, the system will automatically switch back to the priority source.
- Voltage & Frequency Monitoring: It constantly monitors the voltage and frequency of the priority source and transfers power to the alternate source if these parameters drop below or exceed the specified thresholds.
