Description
The Victron MultiPlus Compact 12/800/35-16 is a high-performance inverter/charger designed for 12V systems. It combines both a true sine wave inverter and a battery charger in a single, compact unit, making it perfect for applications that require a reliable and efficient power supply in limited spaces.
This model offers 800VA continuous output with the ability to peak at 1600W, making it capable of powering small to medium devices and appliances without interruptions. The unique PowerAssist feature helps protect limited AC sources, such as generators or shore power connections, by reducing battery charging when an overload is detected. It also boosts the output from the AC source by drawing power from the battery, ensuring continued power to your load.
The MultiPlus Compact 12/800/35-16 features a UPS function, which allows it to automatically take over the supply to connected loads in the event of a grid failure or power loss from a generator or shore connection. With a response time of less than 20 milliseconds, it ensures that your equipment, such as computers and electronics, will continue to operate without disruption.
With parallel operation capabilities, multiple units (up to 6) can be connected to achieve higher power output. It also supports three-phase and split-phase configurations, providing flexibility for larger or more complex systems.
The MultiPlus Compact offers remote monitoring and control through a GX device (e.g., Cerbo GX). With the free VRM app and VRM portal, you can access your system from anywhere in the world via your phone, tablet, laptop, or PC. This feature provides you with complete control over your system, such as adjusting settings or remotely starting a backup generator.

Unique PowerAssist feature
The MultiPlus will prevent overload of a limited AC source, such as a generator or shore power connection. First, battery charging will automatically be reduced when otherwise an overload would occur. The second level will boost the output of a generator or shore side supply with power taken from the battery.
Uninterrupted AC power (UPS function)
In the event of a grid failure, or when shore or generator power is disconnected, the inverter within the Multi is automatically activated and takes over the supply to the connected loads. This happens so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment will continue to operate without disruption.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation
Up to 6 Multis can operate in parallel to achieve higher power output. Three phase or split phase operation is also possible. Please check our datasheets to see which models have paralleling, three phase and split phase capabilities.
Remote Monitoring and Control
When coupled with a GX device (e.g. Cerbo GX) you can monitor and control your Multi and system or systems’ locally (LAN) or remotely via the internet from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and free VRM portal website.
